USES OF BIMATReduce pressure in the eyes in adults with glaucoma
HOW BIMAT WORKSBIMAT works by increasing the amount of liquid that is drained which reduces the pressure inside the eye. If the high pressure is not reduced, it could lead to a disease called glaucoma and eventually damage your sight. It reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) in humans by causing an increase in outflow of the aqueous humor via the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral pathways.
DIRECTIONS FOR USEAlways use this medicine exactly as your doctor has directed you. This medicine should only be apply to the eye. The recommend dose is one drop in the evening, once daily in each eye. Do not use more than once a day as the effectiveness of treatment may be reduce.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTSItchy eyes: Rinse your eyes with preservative-free saline water or apply a cold, wet washcloth.Don't rub your eyes often. Feeling sick (nausea) or indigestion: Stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy foods. Drowsiness or dizziness: Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.
WARNING & PRECAUTIONSPREGNANCY BIMAT should be use with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine. BREASTFEEDING BIMAT is not recommend for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. DRIVING AND USING MACHINES BIMAT may cause blur vision for a short time. Do not drive or handle any machines while using this medicine. KIDNEY BIMAT should be use with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice. LIVER BIMAT should be use with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice. ALLERGY Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Bimatoprost or any other ingredients in this medicine. FAQs ABOUT BIMAT
Can I use other eye drops along with BIMAT?If you have to use other eye drops, wait for at least 5 minutes before using them. You should inform your doctor if you are using any other medicine too as it may interfere with this medicine.
Why should contact lenses be remove before applying BIMAT?It is recommend to remove the contact lenses before applying this medicine. It contains benzalkonium chloride which may get absorbe by the contact lenses and discolor them. The contact lenses can be re-inserte 15 minutes after you have apply the medicine.
