Estramustine 140 mg Capsule is use in the treatment of cancer of the prostate gland. It may be also use to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor. It is sometimes use with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy.

Estramustine 140 mg Capsule should be take on an empty stomach.
The calcium in the stomach might affect the working of drug, so better to avoid milk, dairy products such as cheese and avoid taking it in combination with an antacid or other medicine containing calcium, magnesium or aluminum.
Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it.
This will depend on what you are being treat for and may change from time to time.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, anemia (low number of red blood cells), increased liver enzymes and fluid retention.  If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.
